    ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ has been banned From The Canadian Radio Stations

    TORONTO – “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” has been banned from the Canadian Radio Stations and getting chilly responses.

    There are two country’s biggest radio operators – Bell Media and Rogers Media, that said that they’ve decided to pull all of the controversial Christmas favorites out of the rotations in this year.

    And this comes as the duet, written back in the year 1944 and faces renewed the scrutiny over what say are the inappropriate lyrics in the wake of #MeToo movement.

    During earlier this week, Cleveland radio station announced that it was no longer playing this song in response to the feedback of listeners. Some issues took place over lyrics where a singer is trying to persuade to the other to stay inside, with the exchanges which were included.

    Scott Henderson, Bell Media spokesman said that the company, which runs for two 24 hours Christmas stations in Ottawa and Vancouver, choosing not to include these Christmas tune on its playlist in this year.

    “This song was not scheduled to play on any of the Bell Media Radio stations and also no plan is there to play it in the future,” Scott wrote in a statement sent via email.

    Also, Rogers Media runs a huge number of Christmas music stations, including 98.5 CIOC-FM in Victoria and 98.1 CHFI-FM in Toronto. Caitlin Decarie, Spokeswoman said that broadcaster removed this song this year, but declined to outline that how this reached to the decision.

    A representative from The CBC Radio was not able to answer whether its all of the stations include Christmas song in its current/latest rotation.

    “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” has been considered as a holiday classic since this song won The Academy Award for being the best original song in the film “Neptune’s Daughter.”
