Belinda, daughter of Frank Stronach suing by her father over family fortune
One of the richest family of Canada has confirmed that it’s embroiled in a legal feud between daughter and father.
Frank Stronach, 86-year-old, the founder of Magna International Inc., is suing his daughter Belinda Stronach, a former Member Parliament for an amount of $520 million, alleging that Belinda froze Frank out of this business that he built and also mismanaged the whole family fortune.
“Frank and Elfriede Stronach, Frank’s wife regret to have commenced proceedings in Ontario Superior Court against Belinda, Alon Ossip and the others,” said the legal team for the auto-parts business tycoon. “They did so as just a last resort, after making considerable efforts over a period of around two years to resolve this matter on a consensual basis.”
Thoroughbred Daily News broke this news after getting a 73-page lawsuit from Ontario Superior Court of Justice. In a statement, Belinda wrote that “family relationships in a business may be challenging.”
“I and My children love my father,” Belinda wrote. “However, all of his allegations are wrong and we will respond formally to the statement in the normal course of the court process.”
