Michelle Hanson, Kaden Young’s Mom Charged for Kaden’s Death
Mother of a kid swept into a raging river during the flash flooding in Ontario in this year has been charged for her son’s death.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, they conducted a thorough and long investigation into this case, in which Kaden Young was drowned in the Grand River near Orangeville, Ont., Canada, when the torrential rains combined with late-February thaw and caused widespread flooding in Ontario.
Now, she faces a count each of criminal negligence causing death, dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving causing death.
The force said in a statement that the OPP sympathizes and expresses its condolences to the family of Kaden Young on his loss. “Police will not pass on any of the comments on specific details of allegations to protect the integrity of the ensuing court process.”
Police gave information about Kaden’s drown that how Kaden has swept away on Feb. 21.
They said that the child was riding in his mother’s minivan nearly at 1 a.m. on that same day when she failed to see a road closure sign and then drove onto a very dangerous stretch of the ground near the river.
At some moment, authorities said that the vehicle had been swept to the swollen waterway. Then they mentioned that Hanson somehow managed to pull Kaden from the vehicle just to lose her hand grip on Kaden and saw him carried off by the rushing water.
In these following weeks, thousands of volunteers flocked to this site to help in the search for Kaden. A special Facebook group also has been dedicated to this search, including confirmation that her son’s body had been found successfully.
On 21st April, a fisherman pulled out Kaden’s body from the river from where he went missing.
Police said Hanson is to appear in court on 6th Nov. in Orangeville.
