    Santa Claus parade is just days away, it looks like Christmas in the GTA but this may go bad news for the drivers.

    A winter weather travel advisory has been issued by The Environment Canada for the Niagara region, Hamilton, Durham, York, Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto.

    The travel advisory read and told that snow associated with deepening low-pressure system is moving up to the Eastern Seaboard of the United States and soon will reach to the southern Ontario later this afternoon.

    “The snow will remain to continue through tonight till early Friday morning.”

    According to the agency, 5-10 centimeter of snowfall is expected across the region, with the maximum of snowfall on Thursday night.

    This situation may leave a major impact to the evening commute, and drivers are advised to take the best precautions of things.

    As the city said that they are ready to handle the cold weather and snow.

    Officials said that snow clearing equipments are on its way, salt has been replenished successfully, and crews are ready to respond to the broken water pipes and mains.

    The city issues a budget of more than $90 million every year to keep the sidewalks and roads clear. This money has been totally dedicated to more than 1,500 contractors, and they are on standby around the clock.
