Calgary facing record-breaking snow
It is the only beginning of October, but it looks like midwinters in parts of the southern Alberta. Calgary faces a record-breaking snow on Tuesday that hammered the city, which prompted an appeal to the neighboring cities and Edmonton for some additional snow removal equipment.
Snow amount across the city get varied, but on 2nd October snow has been recorded at a modest of around 4.6cm. In some of the places, snow has been recorded at 30 cm.
SNOW ROUTE PARKING BAN
Crews in Calgary struggled hard to keep up with snowfall on Tuesday, the both City of Calgary Transportation and Calgary Police encouraged residents to stay off from the roads. A snow route parking ban also goes into effect for some designated snow routes on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. as cleaning continues with the help of some additional crews coming in from Red Deer, Medicine Hat, and Edmonton.
