Gary Long, Toronto police spokesperson said that at this time of the year, we see an increase in collisions with pedestrians.

With the sun setting at earlier, drivers and pedestrians alike should note that this will be too darker during every rush hour.

Police said that it is very important to make sure that you can be seen and to which you are paying attention. “Just be aware of surrounding both pedestrians and drivers,” Long said.

Firefighters to use this time change as a reminder for the residents to check carbon monoxide detectors and home smoke alarms.

If you never have checked a detector any time before, it’s straightforward: the key is to make sure that the batteries are working well and that unit itself hasn’t expired yet.
